Marine Diesel & Generator Technician

Devall Diesel Services

Position Summary

Devall Diesel Services is seeking a Certified Marine Diesel & Generator Technician to support our expanding Houston-area operations. Candidates must hold OEM certification in one or more of the following: Cummins, John Deere, Kohler, or equivalent diesel power systems manufacturer. This is a field-based position with a company-provided service truck. Technicians must be willing to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

•Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair marine diesel engines and generator systems

•Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service

•Complete OEM warranty and service documentation

•Respond to service calls throughout Houston and Gulf Coast region

•Maintain professional communication with customers

•Maintain company vehicle and tools

Requirements

•OEM Certification (Cummins, John Deere, Kohler, or equivalent)

•Strong diesel diagnostics experience (marine preferred)

•Ability to work independently in the field

•Valid driver’s license

•Valid TWIC Card

•Must pass DOT drug screening, DOT physical, and extensive background check

•Willingness to work overtime and on-call rotation

Compensation

Compensation is based on certifications and experience. Pay will be determined by number and level of OEM certifications, years of field experience, marine versus industrial background, and diagnostic capability. Overtime pay available.
