Small Engine Mechanic / Shop Foreman - Full-Time
Location: Summerville, SC
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Flexible Hours (7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 10:00 AM-6:00 PM)

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Small Engine Mechanic / Shop Foreman to join our team in Summerville. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our fleet, shop operations, and small engine equipment to keep our field operations running efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, coachable, and has a strong work ethic, while also being respectful and always willing to support their team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee shop operations, fleet, and equipment maintenance
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on small engines, lawn care machinery, and company vehicles
  • Handle occasional on-site/roadside equipment and vehicle repairs
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
  • Ensure all vehicles requiring DOT inspections are up to date
  • Manage and track shop inventory and parts ordering
  • Ensure shop safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License
    • Applicants with a South Carolina driver's license are preferred to bring their driving record.
    • Applicants with an out-of-state license must provide their driving record at the time of the scheduled interview
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in small engine or vehicle servicing
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
  • A demonstrated work ethic and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASE Certification (light or medium-duty trucks - gas and diesel)
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and inspection requirements
  • Ability to maintain parts inventory and order supplies
  • Experience working with chemicals and pumping systems
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Coachable mindset and willingness to grow
  • Must be able to provide personal tools
  • Customer service experience is a plus
