Job description

Machine Operator

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00+ DOE

Hours: 5:00a-1:00p or 7:00a-3:00p

Location: Strongsville, OH

We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating various converting machines while ensuring equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. The Machine Operator will also inspect products, complete quality checks, package finished labels, and maintain accurate production documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various converting equipment, including slitter machines, laminating machines, rotary die cutters, flatbed die cutters, and rewind tables
  • Monitor machinery to support safe, efficient, and consistent production
  • Inspect labels for defects and ensure finished products meet quality standards
  • Perform all required quality checks
  • Package finished labels for shipment
  • Complete required production paperwork accurately
  • Use QAD to issue and receive products to work orders and print core and box labels
  • Complete additional production tasks as assigned

Key Requirements:

  • Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Slitting and/or laminating experience preferred
  • Rotary die cutting experience preferred
  • Flatbed die cutting experience preferred
  • Roll-fed flexographic experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to consistently meet quality and productivity standards
  • Ability to read and understand production paperwork and tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods while operating machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
