Job Description:
Overview
A senior individual of the highest technical skill and experience in Datacom and Data Base Management Systems (DBMS). Displaying a broad range of disciplines, environments, and DBMS best practices within the DBMS practice or, the individual may possess skills and highly technical experience in Broadcom IDMS software, that is, a specialist of the highest technical caliber. Provides assistance and recommendations to management and clients on DBMS / Datacom topics pertaining to the architectural design and development of applied systems and software services for DBMS/Datacom. Consultant is a requirement for this position. Ability to travel to client sites is required for this position.
Primary Functions
Duties include but are not limited to the following: installation, configuration, and application support for CA IDMS. Secondary responsibilities include general z/OS support for IDMS.
Specific tasks performed:
Generate and administer Datacom Systems
Administer Datacom
Provide performance analysis and troubleshoot system problems
Provide diagnostic analysis of Datacom environments
Provide assistance to application developers with Datacom Data Base Manipulation.
Perform online query database navigation
Provide data integrity and dictionary security
Perform logical and physical database design
Perform backup and recovery procedures for all Datacom databases
Create data structure diagrams
Technical Skills and experience
  • 84 months of experience in CA Datacom database administration and maintenance.
  • 60+ months experience with Datacom system patching and Maintenance.
  • 60+ months experience developing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures.
  • 60+ months experience with Data Dictionary Definition Language (DDDL) compiler as well as schema and subschema definitions.
  • 60+ months experience with Datacom journal management.
  • 60+ months experience with Datacom Data Manipulation
  • 60+ months experience with data integrity and dictionary security.
  • 60+ months experience data structure diagraming.

PEOPLE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Ability to listen to client requirements and organize them into a list of business needs and objectives
  • Ability to provide written communication back to the project manager and customer regarding build and integrate instructions, assigned task status, and ability to communicate through channels such as knowledge transfer instructions to run the solution after implementation is complete.
  • Ability to follow a communication plan established by the project manager
  • Ability to document clearly all the aspects listed above and ability to clearly communicate in writing project statuses, task status and communicate in writing build and integration result from Datacom and DBMS implementations.

KEY Requirements
Bachelors and 5+ years of related experience or Masters degree and 3+ years of related experience
Additional Job Description:
The annual base salary range for this position is $73,100 - 117,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
