Job description

As a Landscape Laborer, you will be responsible for working closely with other valued employees to ensure that all projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality for our discerning clients.

Essential Duties
  • Grounds maintenance – mow, edge, trim turf, and clear debris from lawns, and landscape areas.
  • Plant care – plant, cultivate, prune, and water trees, shrubs, flowers, and hedges.
  • Soil and mulch – dig, rake, spread soil, and apply mulch to various areas, as needed.
  • Fertilizing and plant health – apply fertilizer and other treatments to promote plant health, according to all local, city, state, and federal guidelines for safety.
  • Irrigation – operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper and efficient watering.
  • Installation – lay sod, install landscape edging, and assist with the installation of hardscapes (patios, walkways, driveways, entertaining areas).
  • Equipment and tool operation – operate and perform routine maintenance on landscape tools and landscape power equipment.
  • Clean-up – remove weeds, dead plants, and other waste from properties.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of landscape experience, preferably on residential properties or estates
  • Deep knowledge of landscaping tools, practices, equipment/machinery, and safety measures.
  • Effective communication skills - bilingual preferred, collaborate and able to partner with others, take direction, and give direction to others to ensure projects are completed effectively and safely.
  • Able to get to various jobs around the Los Angeles area on time and pass a regular background check.
