What is diamond planning?

Diamond planning is the process of evaluating and deciding how to cut rough diamonds to maximize their value and quality. This involves analyzing the shape, size, clarity, and inclusions of each rough diamond using advanced tools and technology. Diamond planners use their expertise to determine the optimal way to cut the stone, balancing factors like carat weight, symmetry, and overall market demand. The goal is to produce finished diamonds that are both beautiful and profitable, while minimizing waste. Diamond planning is a crucial step in the diamond manufacturing process and requires a combination of technical skill and industry knowledge.
