Job description

Job Title: Experienced Diamond Core Driller

Pay: $40.00 – $44.00 per hour

Position Highlights:

  • High Earning Potential: 12-hour shifts on a 28–30 day hitch with extensive overtime pay
  • Schedule: 28–30 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • Location: Remote mineral exploration project near Stanley, Idaho

Job Summary: We are seeking an Experienced Diamond Core Driller to manage wireline core drilling operations for an exploration project near Stanley, Idaho. You will operate specialized core rigs and heavy equipment to extract rock samples in high-altitude, hard-rock environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate wireline diamond drilling rigs to meet core extraction targets.
  • Perform setup, teardown, and site prep in compliance with MSHA and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Perform routine mechanical inspections and preventative maintenance on hydraulic drilling systems and tooling.
  • Keep detailed shift logs, core barrel recovery sheets, and safety documentation.
  • Direct drill helpers on site safety, tool assembly, and daily rig operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: Experienced surface diamond core driller (mineral exploration experience required).
  • Certifications: MSHA Part 48 surface certification preferred.
  • Mechanical Skills: Solid mechanical knowledge of hydraulic drilling equipment, pumps, and support machinery.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to work 12-hour shifts in rugged outdoor mountain terrain.
  • Rotation: Ability to work a 28–30 day on / 7 day off rotation hitch.
