Job description

Overview: This position is responsible for portraying a professional demeanor and providing exemplary customer service and is a critical service contact for sports club guests’ and members’ interactions; as well as for ensuring the facilities in areas assigned follow “white glove” standards for neatness and cleanliness at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing areas assigned and performing opening/closing duties in preparation for the arrival /departure of guests and members ensuring on time arrival for shift
  • Providing directions, property activities and facility information to guests and members
  • Ensuring assigned areas are kept cleanly and always up to four diamond standards including but not limited to showers, sinks, changing areas, lockers, quiet room, pool areas and restrooms in the facilities including organizing magazines, vacuuming and sweeping area assigned throughout shift
  • Keeping areas assigned are stocked with amenities, clean and neat for guests and members to use so that amenities are available and the guest/member has a memorable impression of the property. This includes but is not limited to all lounge and locker areas
  • Notifying area supervisor with a written supplies list tracking amenity and product inventory when supplies are low
  • Disseminating locker access instructions
  • Owning all areas assigned ensuring they are free from trash and debris by walking the areas and constantly surveying them during the course of the shift for cleanliness including sinks, changing areas and restroom facilities
  • Perform housekeeping of assigned area by maintaining clean tables, chairs; empty trash, pick up litter and towels at the beginning, end and throughout the shift
  • Addressing safety issues immediately bringing issues to the attention of management
  • Following cleanliness check sheets and completing sheets daily
  • Following all policies and procedures of the property
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to be punctual and organize
  • Must have professional presentation
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 40 pounds, sit/stand/stoop, bend, twist, turn, squat, stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • Must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to enforce operating policies and procedures in a courteous manner
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prefer work experience in a resort, fitness center, or other industry requiring direct interfacing with guests and providing customer service
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
