Dubbing Director (AI Localization & Media Production)
About the Role
We are seeking talented Dubbing Directors to help shape the future of AI-powered localization for film and television content. In this role, you will oversee the creative adaptation of AI-generated dubbed audio, ensuring translated dialogue remains authentic, culturally relevant, emotionally impactful, and true to the original storytelling intent.
The ideal candidate combines strong language expertise with a background in storytelling, performance evaluation, and post-production workflows. You will work closely with creative, product, and technical teams to deliver high-quality localized content at scale while maintaining cinematic quality across languages.
Language Opportunities
We are hiring for multiple language combinations, including:
  • English (primary) + Spanish (es-419), French, German, Italian, or Korean
  • Spanish (es-419) (primary) + English
  • Italian (primary) + English

Spanish proficiency must be specific to es-419 (Latin American/Miami Spanish).
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and refine AI-generated dubbed dialogue for films, television, and audiovisual content.
  • Ensure language adaptations are culturally appropriate and maintain the intent, tone, and emotional impact of the original content.
  • Evaluate dialogue performance and make creative decisions to enhance authenticity and cinematic quality.

  • Maintain quality standards across large volumes of content and multiple projects.
  • Provide feedback and insights that help improve AI-driven dubbing systems and localization processes.

Required Qualifications
  • Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: Spanish (es-419), French, German, Italian, or Korean.
  • Demonstrated localization experience in both languages, specifically adapting dialogue for audiovisual content.
  • background in storytelling through film, cinema, acting, directing, screenwriting, theater, or a related creative discipline.
  • Ability to evaluate performances and make creative decisions that preserve narrative intent across languages and cultures.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in dubbing direction, creative localization, audio post-production, picture post-production, or a related field.
  • Experience with dialogue adaptation, lip-sync evaluation, performance assessment, and dialogue mixing.
  • Proficiency with one or more industry-standard tools, including:
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Avid Media Composer
    • DaVinci Resolve
    • Pro Tools
    • Adobe Audition
    • Similar audio/video post-production platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in a creative discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating understanding of film, television, and post-production workflows.

Language Proficiency Requirements
  • Native-level proficiency in the target language, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • High school education completed in a country where the target language is the primary language of instruction.
  • Full professional fluency in English, including verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal professional settings.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across creative, product, engineering, or research functions.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining quality standards for high-volume content production.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
