Role Description:

The Warehouse laborer will safely perform their duties in conjunction with the lead and corporate yard supervisor, to maximize the effectiveness of the Warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick material, equipment, and tools to satisfy the requirements of field requisitions

  • Record information used to process transfers

  • Telehandler experience is a plus

  • Safely and effectively use tools and equipment to execute shipping and receiving responsibilities

  • Perform daily activities of the yard in accordance with PCL procedures, policies, and guidelines

  • Provide consistent customer service across all activities

  • Prioritize, assign, and monitor tasks of yard employees

  • Coordinate all yard material handling and shipping/receiving activities

  • Oversee preparation and circulation of shipping paperwork and documentation

  • Assist in preparation of orders to fill requisitions

  • Ensure equipment and materials are stored safely in accordance with organizational plan

  • Ensure equipment and materials are in safe working order

  • Monitor stocking levels of stores inventory and tools

  • Train and monitor employees to execute work in compliance with PCL company policy, procedures and guidelines

  • Ensure all daily activities are performed in accordance with PCL HSE manual and Denver yard HSE plan

  • Provide safety and performance feedback on yard employees to yard supervisor

  • Provide consistent customer service across all activities

  • Perform other duties as requested by the yard supervisor and lead

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Knowledge and use of hand and power tools

  • High regard for safety and pride for quality of work

  • Self-motivated and a team player

  • Able to multi-task, show initiative and ask questions as needed

  • Able to follow directions to ensure completion of daily tasks

  • Have a high degree of flexibility in a changing environment

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Strength to perform average lifting of up to 35 pounds and occasionally to 50 pounds, from the ground to waist level.

  • Should be able to navigate through the worksite on a daily basis

  • Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairs. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and under pressure.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

The salary range for this position is between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
