Job description

Laundry Attendant - Maverick Casino & Hotel Elko
Pay rate:$12 hr
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Maintain the linen inventory by keeping the discards to a minimum.
• Sorting, ironing and folding of linen
• Load and unload washers and dryers.
• Safely and properly operate all laundry equipment - washers, dryers, folders, etc.
• Fulfilling daily linen orders for the various company departments.
• Perform related and/or other duties as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Experience in hospitality industry in similar position desired.
Requirements
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Maintain knowledge of all safety hazards and precautions regarding chemicals and cleaning agents.
• Valid Driver's License
• 21 years or Older
• Maintain knowledge of the proper operation of all laundry equipment.
• Must be detail-oriented with good organization skills.
• Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment as well as cleaning techniques.
• Frequent lifting and pushing of supplies/equipment.
• Exceptional guest service skills required.
• Must be able to work independently and follow instructions regarding priorities of tasks.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Must be punctual and have regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to follow all of Maverick Gaming standards policies and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
