Job description

This south Georgia medical center is seeking a board certified/board eligible full-time, on-site diagnostic radiologist to join our team.

  • Salary: Guaranteed salary is competitive and commensurate with experience
  • Bonus: 100% of shared practice profits
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM; extra pay for coverage 5 PM-9 PM; weekends not required
  • Call: No call required
  • Opportunity to precept medical students and residents

  • Completion or upcoming completion of radiology residency or fellowship
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Board-certified physician or board certification eligible (if eligible, must obtain board certification within 4 years); Georgia Medical License or participation in Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
  • We are not currently accepting candidates needing visa sponsorships for this specialty.

Volume/Types of Cases:

  • MRI - Average per week is 32 to 40 exams with average daily of 10-12 exams, more one day and less another.
  • CT - Average per week is 240 to 290 exams with average daily of 50-70 exams, again more one day and less another.
  • US - Average per week is 70 to 80 exams with average daily of 16-20 exams.
  • XR - Average per week is 280 to 350 exams with average daily of 65-75 exams.

  • 128 Slice CT (computerized tomography) scans
  • 3T MRI
  • Ultrasound
  • Vascular Studies
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • PET (positron emission tomography)
  • Echocardiography
  • Nuclear Cardiac scanning
  • Mammography
  • DEXA – Bone Densitometry

Other:

  • Candidates must be proficient in and willing to read the following modalities: CT, MRI, ultrasound, vascular studies, nuclear medicine, PET, mammography, and DEXA.
  • Ability to perform light interventional radiology procedures is a plus. •
  • We are not hiring additional teleradiology providers at this time.
  • Nights are covered by teleradiology.
