Position Overview

World Services LLC is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer will design, implement, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable, and compliant software delivery for NAVAIR systems. This role supports hands-on engineering execution while contributing to change enablement and DevSecOps transformation efforts.

This position requires onsite support at various U.S. Navy and NAVAIR locations, depending on program needs. Candidates should expect to work in secure government environments and collaborate directly with program offices, engineering teams, and mission stakeholders. While some limited flexibility may be available, this role is primarily onsite to ensure effective coordination, security compliance, and hands-on support of DevSecOps transformation efforts within operational Navy environments.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Pipeline Development

· Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment

· Implement Git-based version control and branching strategies

· Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules to support environment provisioning

· Enable automated testing and validation processes across environments

Security & Compliance Integration

· Integrate static and dynamic security scanning tools into pipelines

· Support continuous monitoring and vulnerability remediation

· Ensure alignment with RMF, NIST 800-53, and ATO requirements

· Automate compliance checks and reporting within CI/CD workflows

Automation & Tooling

· Configure and manage DevSecOps toolchains (e.g., Git, Terraform, Docker, SonarQube, Azure DevOps)

· Implement containerization and orchestration solutions

· Develop scripts and automation to improve deployment speed and reliability

· Support environment validation for CI/CD readiness

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

· Monitor pipeline performance, reliability, and deployment success rates

· Track KPIs such as throughput, quality, and compliance metrics

· Support continuous improvement through feedback loops and retrospectives

· Optimize pipeline efficiency and reduce deployment risks

Collaboration & Change Enablement

· Work closely with Solutions Architects, QA/Test, Cybersecurity, and Program teams

· Support adoption of DevSecOps practices across development teams

· Assist in training and enablement of personnel transitioning to CI/CD models

· Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

· 8–12+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps engineering

· Strong hands-on experience with:

· CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)

· IaC tools (Terraform preferred)

· Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

· Experience integrating security into pipelines (DevSecOps practices)

· Familiarity with DoD environments and compliance requirements

· Active Secret clearance (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting NAVAIR or Navy systems

· Familiarity with Team Managed Deployment (TMD) model

· Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)

· Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, or equivalent)
