Job description

UNMInformation Technologies is seeking a Core Services Specialist to supportenterprise application integration, automation, and emerging AI platforminitiatives. Under limited supervision, this position will design, develop,implement, and support enterprise system integrations, APIs, middlewaresolutions, reusable automation services, and AI enabled workflows that connectcritical university systems including Ellucian Banner, Salesforce, ServiceNow,Azure services, and other institutional applications. The position willprimarily leverage the Boomi Integration Platform for enterprise integrationdevelopment and support while collaborating closely with technical andfunctional teams across the university.

Thisposition will also support the university's general purpose AI platforminitiative by developing and supporting API endpoints, Model Context Protocol(MCP) integrations, AI service connectivity, and reusable automation servicesthat can be consumed by AI agents, institutional applications, and third partysystems. The role will assist with AI monitoring, observability, and usagereporting efforts using technologies such as Azure Application Insights,OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, and Cosmos DB to support operational visibilityand usage tracking, including AI token consumption and related analytics.The role will participate in modern DevSecOps and clouddevelopment practices including the use of pipelines, automated deploymentprocesses, version control, testing frameworks, and AI assisted developmenttools such as OpenAI, Claude, Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and similartechnologies to improve development efficiency, troubleshooting, and delivery.

The successful applicant will have strong communication andcustomer service skills, experience with enterprise application and systemintegration, and an understanding of modern integration, automation, AI, andcloud technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate effectivelywith technical and functional teams, troubleshoot complex integration andautomation issues, and contribute to scalable, secure, and sustainableenterprise solutions in a higher education environment.
