Job description

Job Title: DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Bethesda, MD

Duration: Longterm (36 Months)

Job Description

  • The DevSecOps Engineer an individual contributor role overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our DevOps processes and tools in a hybrid cloud platform, AWS only. (No Azure experience accepted).ย 
  • The successful candidate will be able to install, configure set up, tear down all AWS services and build adequate resilient pipelines.
  • Experience creating and recommending AWS architectures (in-terms of infra, DevOps).
  • The individual will work closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline our software delivery pipeline and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications.
  • The DevSecOps Engineer will provide leadership in applying DevSecOps concepts, processes, and tools to help plan and define capabilities to support operations.

Required Skills:

  • At least 7 years of experience standing up infrastructure in complex large scale enterprise environments (Fortune 100 recommended)
  • Skills/tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, EKS, AWS all Services, S3, DNS,
  • Proven experience in a DevSecOps role, with at least 3-5 years in a senior DevOps position. Ability to converse with Client and take inputs.
  • Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and event-driven architecture solution.
  • Experience building DevOps services with Security First approach.
  • AWS Dev - Experience standing up Blue green zones in production environments
  • Experience creating landing zones and environments
  • Experience building environments on AWS using terraform scripts
  • Experience creating terraform scripts to automate deployments to Dev/Test/Prod
  • Experience with establishment of CI/CD pipeline guidelines, standards, and strategies.
  • Technical planning, configuration, integration, verification and validation of the pipeline toolchain in support of the technical complexities that lead to the successful integration of various DevSecOps practices as part of a CI/CD implementation.
