Job description

Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Duration: 6+Months
 

 Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for a hands-on security professional with deep experience designing, implementing, and securing enterprise cloud environments across multiple cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud security architecture, identity and access management, automation, and security operations across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The successful candidate will help establish secure cloud foundations, implement security guardrails, conduct risk assessments, and drive security best practices across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve secure landing zones, tenant baselines, and cloud security guardrails across Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI.
  • Develop and maintain cloud security standards, reference architectures, and secure-by-default deployment patterns across multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead security architecture reviews and risk assessments for cloud-native applications, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Provide actionable security guidance and remediation recommendations to engineering, infrastructure, and application teams.
  • Design and secure hybrid cloud architectures, networking, and connectivity solutions including VNets, VPCs, VCNs, VPNs, firewalls, and private connectivity.
  • Implement cloud identity and access management controls including federation, MFA, privileged access management, and workload identity security.
  • Build and automate security controls using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and security automation frameworks.
  • Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes.
  • Develop monitoring, detection, response, and automation capabilities using cloud-native and third-party security platforms.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend security improvements to enhance organizational security posture.
  • Drive adoption of Zero Trust security principles across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Utilize AI/ML and Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve cloud security analytics, threat detection, automation, and incident triage processes.
 Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud security, and cybersecurity engineering within enterprise environments.
  • Expert-level experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and strong working knowledge of the others.
  • Experience securing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
  • Strong understanding of multi-cloud architecture, governance, security controls, and operational best practices.
  • Hands-on experience implementing security controls across heterogeneous cloud environments.
  • Experience designing and securing hybrid cloud infrastructures and cloud networking architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards.
  • Experience developing security automation using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
