As a Principal Software Engineer in Information Security, you will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable software solutions that align with business objectives. This role requires expertise in coding standards, cryptographic technologies, and DevSecOps practices to ensure robust protection of digital assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive technical strategies, influence outcomes, and deliver high-quality, maintainable systems. Your leadership will support continuous improvement in security, performance, and reliability across complex environments, fostering innovation while adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.
About the team:
The team specializes in designing and scaling enterprise cryptographic services by integrating Public Key Infrastructure, Hardware Security Modules, and security automation. Combining software development and infrastructure engineering, the group builds secure, cloud-native platforms that support certificate lifecycle management and key operations across various applications and cloud environments. With a strong focus on automation, API-driven services, and developer experience, the team delivers resilient, highly available cryptographic solutions that enhance engineering productivity while maintaining enterprise-grade security and compliance. Collaboration and innovation drive continuous advancement in secure platform development within hybrid and multi-cloud settings.
What you'll do:
  • Lead design and implementation of secure software solutions aligned with business requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security risks, ensuring compliance with cryptographic and hardware security protocols.
  • Guide development and deployment of automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines to enhance security and operational efficiency.
  • Drive telemetry/ monitoring initiatives to evaluate application performance and security posture continuously.
  • Integrate PKI and HSM services with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and container platforms. 
  • Implement cloud-native certificate automation using cert-manager, ACME protocols, and cloud key management services. 
  • Build Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
  • Develop self-service PKI capabilities through APIs, portals, and automated workflows. 

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of information security principles, including Public Key Infrastructure and Hardware Security Modules.
  • Proven ability to design scalable, secure software solutions aligned with business requirements and nonfunctional needs.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and automation scripting to enhance development efficiency.
  • Strong skills in API management and cryptographic key handling to ensure data protection and system integrity.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive technical outcomes.
