Devrev information

What is a Devrev?

Devrev is not a traditional job title, but rather the name of a technology company that provides a platform for product-led businesses to connect their development (dev) and revenue (rev) teams. Their platform helps streamline product management, customer support, and software development by integrating feedback, support tickets, and engineering tasks. People working at Devrev typically hold roles like software engineer, product manager, or technical support specialist, focusing on building and improving this collaborative platform.

How does a Devrev team member collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance customer-centric development?

DevRev professionals often act as a bridge between customer support, product, and engineering teams. They gather user feedback, analyze support tickets, and translate those insights into actionable recommendations for product improvements. Collaboration is typically facilitated through regular cross-functional meetings, shared documentation, and integrated project management tools, ensuring customer needs are prioritized and addressed efficiently. This close collaboration not only improves product quality but also helps DevRev team members develop a comprehensive understanding of both technical and customer-facing aspects, supporting career growth in product management or technical leadership.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Devrev?

To thrive as a Developer Relations Engineer (DevRev), you need a solid background in software development, API integration, and technical writing, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with code repositories (like GitHub), documentation platforms, API tools, and cloud services is typically required. Exceptional communication, community engagement, and problem-solving skills help you bridge the gap between development teams and external users. These competencies are vital for building strong developer communities, ensuring effective product adoption, and facilitating productive feedback loops between users and engineering teams.

Job description

About the role

DevRev is building the first agentic platform that unifies customer support and software development on a shared knowledge graph. Our Tech Alliances team drives deep technical partnerships with the most important AI and cloud platforms in the world - AWS, Anthropic, Databricks, Snowflake, MongoDB, Salesforce, and so on.

We're hiring a Tech Alliance Architect to be the technical heartbeat of these partnerships. You'll identify where DevRev and each partner's technology create joint value, build the solutions and reference architectures that prove it, and evangelize that value to business and technical audiences internally and externally.

What you'll do
  • Work hand-in-hand with tech alliance partners to identify net-new joint use cases where DevRev + the partner platform unlock differentiated value.

  • Design and build joint solutions, reference architectures, integrations, MCP listings, and technical proof points that demonstrate that value in practice.

  • Create generative and reusable technical assets - demos, solution briefs, integration guides, white papers, workshop content - to promote joint value internally (enablement for DevRev field teams) and externally (partner field teams, marketplaces, developer communities).

  • Act as a technical evangelist: represent DevRev at partner technical events, developer conferences, hackathons, and marketplace/GTM launches.

  • Partner closely with the Tech Alliance program, GTM, and product teams to turn validated use cases into repeatable, scalable partner motions.

  • Serve as the trusted technical counterpart to partner solution architects and field engineers, translating between DevRev's platform and each partner's stack.

What you bring
  • 10-15 years of experience in solutions engineering, solutions architecture, developer relations, or technical alliances - ideally spanning cloud, data, or AI/agentic platforms.

  • Strong techno-business acumen: you can architect a solution and articulate the commercial and GTM value behind it.

  • Hands-on technical depth with modern AI/cloud ecosystems (LLMs, agents, MCP, data platforms, cloud marketplaces).

  • Proven ability to build technical assets from scratch - demos, reference architectures, integrations, enablement content.

  • Comfort and credibility on stage and in the room at developer and partner technical events.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; able to work across partner and internal engineering, product, and GTM teams.

  • US-based, able to travel to partner and developer events.
