Description

Franklin Electric is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Application Development team. The ideal candidate will have experience with React, JavaScript, C#, SQL, and Version control with Git. Experience with Azure Cloud technologies is a plus, including Azure DevOps and CICD Pipelines.

You will participate as a high-performing team member in the full software development lifecycle, from software specifications to design, coding, and integration testing. You will be responsible for software enhancements, and bug fixes.

You will collaborate closely with other members of the Software Development team, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Designers to develop and maintain high-quality front-end, and back-end business applications.

Key Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities:

Software Development

  • Designs and codes applications/integrations to support business requirements.
  • Completes necessary testing to ensure applications/integrations are completed with high quality.
  • Completes documentation describing the functionality of the application/integration from a technical perspective.
  • Provides accurate estimates of the time required to complete development tasks.
  • Follows policies and procedures related to application methods and quality standards. May provide input to the Application Development Manager on the creation of the policies and procedures.
  • Occasionally provides off‑hours support on evenings and weekends and participates (on call)

Request and Change Management

  • Ensure all changes and requests are entered into ServiceNow
  • Ensures the fulfillment of end user requests for custom applications and integrations
  • Ensure changes are completed with proper documentation
  • Reviews the forward schedule of changes for potential conflicts

Project Management

  • Participates as a resource on project led by others.
  • Completes assigned project tasks on time and with high quality.
  • May lead small projects related to custom applications and integrations.
