Job description

Job Summary:
Cymertek Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Unix / Linux System Administrator with DevOps expertise to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, automating, and optimizing Unix and Linux-based systems while integrating DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Manage and maintain Unix/Linux servers and systems
โ€ข Implement and manage automation tools for deployment
โ€ข Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
โ€ข Collaborate with development and operations teams
โ€ข Ensure system security and compliance
โ€ข Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration
โ€ข Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
โ€ข Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python)
โ€ข Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker)
โ€ข Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus)
โ€ข Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Cloud Computing, etc.
โ€ข 4-5 years of additional experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (as applicable)
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
โ€ข Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
โ€ข Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
โ€ข Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
โ€ข Experience with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware)
โ€ข Expertise in high-availability systems and disaster recovery
