Job description

Role: DevOps / HPC Infrastructure Engineer

Clearance: Active TS/SCI (US Citizen only)

Environment: AWS GovCloud (Secret deployment)

Location: US (onsite or hybrid depending on customer mandate)

Mandatory Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (must be current; no sponsorship)
  • Prior experience supporting Secret or classified cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud (US)

Core Skill Set

DevOps & Infrastructure

  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Automation & configuration management (Ansible, scripting)

AWS & Secure Cloud

  • AWS Landing Zone design (networking, IAM, security boundaries)
  • VPCs, Transit Gateways, PrivateLink, security groups, NACLs
  • IAM roles, SCPs, cross-account access (GovCloud constraints)
  • Logging & monitoring (CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Security Hub)

HPC / Advanced Compute (Strong Plus)

  • HPC workload orchestration (Slurm, PBS, or similar)
  • Experience with AWS ParallelCluster or AWS PCS
  • High-performance storage (FSx for Lustre, EFS, S3)
  • GPU/compute-heavy workloads (optional but valuable)

Security & Compliance

  • Familiarity with DoD SRG, NIST 800-53, ICD 503
  • Experience operating in air-gapped / restricted egress environments
  • Secure AMI pipelines, patching, STIG hardening

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate secure AWS GovCloud landing zones
  • Support Secret-level cloud deployments
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management
  • Enable DevOps workflows under classified constraints
  • Support HPC or compute-intensive workloads where required
  • Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance posture

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior work with DoD, IC, or federal system integrators
  • Experience migrating workloads from on-prem or commercial AWS to GovCloud
  • Familiarity with Research IT / HPC environments
