Location: Forsyth, GA 31029 (onsite 2–3 days/week; local candidates only)
Type: Contract | Full-Time

Hybrid Work: Onsite required; occasional state travel

Job Overview

Seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure environments. The role blends cloud architecture, systems administration, and IT security to support enterprise migrations, automation, and infrastructure management for public sector environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and support AWS/Azure hybrid cloud environments

  • Lead data center migration projects to cloud platforms

  • Provide senior-level systems administration throughout the IT service lifecycle

  • Manage networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, DNS, routers, ACLs)

  • Support enterprise platforms: JBOSS, Tomcat, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Amazon Aurora, DBaaS

  • Administer Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Unix systems

  • Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, or Python

  • Integrate third-party apps and hardware into secure environments

  • Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery/business continuity

  • Apply ITIL/DevOps methodologies, support CI/CD, and ensure SDLC compliance

  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and monitor infrastructure performance

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 2–3 years’ cloud engineering/infrastructure experience

  • Solid understanding of IT security principles; ITIL and DevOps methodologies
