Job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer based to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, and production environments during US business hours. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and deployment orchestration in enterprise environments.

This role will report directly to the SVP, Retail Technologies and requires close collaboration with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems that support business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security using observability and monitoring platforms
  • Support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response activities
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and release management
  • Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Manage configuration management tools such as Ansible
  • Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies
  • Participate in on-call rotations if required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, and EKS
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
  • Strong understanding of Linux system administration
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk
  • Experience with Git version control and branching strategies
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator)
  • Experience supporting media, transcoding, or high-throughput environments
  • Familiarity with FFMPEG workflows or storage platforms such as S3/LucidLink
  • Experience with security compliance and vulnerability management
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls
