Job description

Nutrition Service Worker

The job of Nutrition Service Worker is done for the purpose of preparing and distributing food items for consumption by students and school personnel; and maintaining facilities in a sanitary condition. Essential functions include arranging food and beverage items, cleaning utensils and equipment, inspecting food items, monitoring kitchen and cafeteria areas, preparing daily item counts and reports, preparing food and beverage items, serving food, and stocking food, condiments, and supplies. Other functions include assisting other personnel, responding to inquiries from students, staff, and the public.

Job requirements include mental requirements such as learning development and problem solving, physical requirements such as physical skill and physical effort, and social requirements such as human relations skill and scope of contacts. The work environment includes performance environment and physical working conditions. Experience, education, and certifications required include job-related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while employed. Compensation details include FLSA status, pay schedule, and work calendar.
