Job description

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

A healthier future drives us to innovate, continuously advance science, and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. We want to build a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That's what makes us Roche.

At Roche, we believe it is critically important to ensure our employees have the necessary knowledge and ability to confidently navigate their continuous learning pathways, supporting our priority brands and disease areas.

As a Commercialization Capability Partner, you will use your knowledge of innovative learning solutions and adult learning principles to understand needs of the business, determine and design the appropriate learning solutions and ensure they are delivered in an effective manner so that Roche employees are consistently meeting their objectives.

In your role, you will coach team members, manage complex projects, challenge the status quo, and drive efficiencies. With strong influencing and communication skills, you will develop and implement strategy, leveraging cultural differences as assets, while maintaining integrity and compliance. Also, you will oversee the Product and Disease Knowledge (PDK) framework, ensuring employees receive necessary training, and act as a point of contact for capability development across various functions.

Join Roche and play a crucial role in fostering continuous learning pathways for our employees and shaping a healthier future for everyone.

The Opportunity:

  • Ensure the learning journey maps and performance solutions continue to meet identified gaps and challenges.

  • Partner with Squad Leads, Chapter Leads and other key stakeholders to proactively identify, design, and implement capability building solutions aligned to business priorities.

  • Coordinate product/disease area training sessions with onboarding and other functional capability building sessions to support employees' skill development.

  • Track the completion of training sessions and assessments in the Learning Management System, and ensure training evaluations and feedback are used to monitor the effectiveness of learning solutions through measurement and analytics.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Partners, Medical Affairs Partners, and other required roles to curate learning content for the PDK framework and new product launches.

  • Remain at the forefront of innovative learning solutions and bring new concepts, approaches, and ideas to fruition within Roche Canada, such as leveraging automation via AI to enhance training effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Act as the local point of contact to the Global Commercialization Centre of Excellence to translate local needs/priorities to the Global team and understand what Global programs/solutions are available

  • Develop and/or apply Cornerstone expertise to load learning objects, organize curriculums, automate assignments and work with Global learning services and other learning experts.

Who You Are:

  • You hold a bachelor's degree (preferably in business, social science, or HR/Leadership) and possess 7+ years of experience in learning programs, with at least 5+ years in a healthcare commercial training role, ideally in Sales, Marketing, or Sales Training.

  • You demonstrate proficiency in designing programs based on adult learning principles, leading large-scale learning initiatives, and quickly adapting to environmental changes with minimal disruption.

  • You are able to lead complex, cross-functional projects, coach effectively, implement strategies in ambiguous environments, and work within agile frameworks.

  • You possess strong influencing, negotiation, communication, time management, and prioritization skills, and have the ability to drive innovative solutions and challenge the status quo.

  • You possess experience in leading and implementing large, complex, cross-functional projects

  • You possess a proven record in program design and instructional methodologies, with familiarity in AI applications and an innovative mindset for proposing creative solutions.

  • You possess proven ability to collaborate with senior leaders to create innovative and impactful learning solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.

  • You are dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous learning and curiosity, enabling Roche to deliver outstanding patient outcomes

Preferred:

  • You excel in project management, with PMP certification preferred. You hold certifications in DSE, Consultative Persuasion/Selling Skills, Adult Learning Practices & Principles, Certified Coaching, and/or bilingualism.
