Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

The Multimedia Producer is responsible for administering the development and production of promotional content for news and commercials including TV, radio, digital, print, local live broadcast events, and execution of station event activations. This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to work with clients and internal departments on the creative execution of all campaigns and assign projects to a team of producers, editors and on-air talent. This position requires the ability to write scripts, do camera work in studio and on field, edit video and audio, and manipulate design and motion graphics. Candidates need to be well versed in conceptualization, storytelling and able to maximize usage of multimedia resources. Applicants should be able to take a project from start to finish under minimal supervision, be social media savvy and have knowledge of content production for linear, online and digital outlets. Applicants should be able to execute operational needs for Activations, Promotions, Production, and Special Events reporting to the Director Operations.

This role involves shooting and editing commercials for clients and coaching them during the production process to ensure the best on-camera performance and visual storytelling. The Multimedia Producer collaborates with the sales team to understand client visions and develop engaging multimedia solutions that drive results. Most importantly, the perfect candidate should have good attitude, be sociable, organized, motivated, be proactive and work well in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Plan, shoot, edit, and produce high-quality multimedia content, including videos, animations, graphics, and audio materials.
  • Oversee the entire production process, from conceptualization to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time.
  • Develop engaging storyboards, scripts, and visual concepts to enhance audience engagement.
  • Work closely with marketing and news teams to align content with brand identity and objectives.
  • Adapt multimedia content for various platforms, including websites, social media, presentations, and live events.
  • Operate professional cameras, lighting, sound equipment, and editing software to produce visually compelling content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand clients' vision and come up with a great concept.
  • Coach clients during the shooting of commercials to enhance their confidence and on-camera presence.
  • Guide clients through the commercial production process, helping them deliver their message effectively.
  • Help the activations team when needed
  • Manage internal production workflow through VPPO and VPromo gathering metrics evaluating station goals each quarter and create a customer service environment for sales by executing all local production needs.
  • Oversee station events and special executions of local campaigns looking to maximize the promotional and executional impact by utilizing all operational resources.
  • Performs other tasks as directed.

YOU HAVE:

  • Passion and understanding for creative process
  • Preferred bachelor's degree or equivalent exposure to Multimedia Productions, and Digital Media.
  • 2-4 years of experience with different types of broadcast & multimedia (video, audio and graphics)

Candidate must have functional to advanced knowledge in the following technologies:

  • Adobe CC suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition) Avid and Davinci Resolve
  • Professional camcorders and DSLRs (Sony FX6, Sony Z280, Canon, Blackmagic and Panasonic).
  • Field production lighting, audio recording and gear.
  • Control room operation- switcher, audio board for live and recorded shows.
  • Green screen and studio production environment.
  • vCreative, Smartsheet, iNews, VizRT and news gathering tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge in 3D animation with Cinema 4D is a plus
  • Livestreams and virtual production environment.
  • Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • PC and MAC computer skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in written and oral Spanish and English.
  • Experience in commercial production, marketing, or working with sales.
  • Production coordination.
  • Ability to drive, stand, walk and sit for up to 8 hours.
