Job Requirements

Position Summary

The Operations Coordinator provides operational support to the leadership team of a Nursing Division. The Operations Coordinator performs and oversees a variety of administrative and fiscal operations which require critical and independent thinking and initiative to organize, prepare and report significant information. Fiscal responsibilities include entering and monitoring operational and capital budget requests, coordinating capital equipment quotes and managing check requests. The Operations Coordinator supports preparation and management of the operation's budget and monitors and produces assigned reports for Nurse Leaders.

The Operations Coordinator performs assigned audits, inventory, and regulatory functions.

The Operation's Coordinator supports Nurse Leaders and proactively coordinates the renewal or termination of existing contracts. The Operations Coordinator supports the Nursing Leader to facilitate the initiation of new contract processes, maintains a log of existing contracts, and supports the annual review process.

Human Resource responsibilities include maintenance of personnel files and follow-up with leaders on e-learning due dates and compliance. Other duties include policy and procedure support, coordinating meetings, minutes, and assistance with meeting preparation to include development of presentation materials and data display. The Operations Coordinator must be efficient in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality and have effective written and verbal communication skills.  The Operations Coordinator will collaborate with Leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System's Mission, Goals and Values.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Associate Degree or 2 years' clerical/operations experience, or 30 semester hours of equivalent education in related field.
  • Degree, experience, or education must be relevant to role/position.

  • Maintains accurate and complete personnel file for associates.
  • Assist with budget process and reports.
  • Processes check requests
  • Maintains and updates intranet website for each unit within nursing division.
  • Coordinates meetings for leadership, including room reservations, agendas, and/or minutes.
  • Assists with ordering supplies and capital equipment.
  • Attends departmental and hospital committees and meetings.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
