Job Description
The HR Associate/Generalist supports all HR activities for non-executive employees at the plant location. This role ensures HR targets are met (e.g., recruiting, employee development) and contributes to positive employee satisfaction and workplace culture.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Recruitment & Onboarding Support
• Support recruiting, sourcing, and candidate selection in coordination with the HR Shared Services
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires according to company standards
• Support deployment of employer branding initiatives at the plant location
HR Administration & Compliance
• Administer payroll and benefits in accordance with legal requirements and budget guidelines
• Maintain personnel files and training records
• Support time and attendance administration, identify timing errors, and work with managers to ensure payroll accuracy
• Manage exit procedures and documentation
Employee Relations & Support
• Support employees with benefits-related questions and inquiries
• Plan and implement local employee relations activities (e.g., motivation programs, conflict resolution, workplace events, internal communications)
• Foster a positive work culture and employee engagement at the plant
HR Operations & Continuous Improvement
• Support implementation of corporate HR initiatives at the plant location (e.g., culture development, diversity programs)
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities using lean administration and process optimization methods
• Ensure effective HR communication for the plant location
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication or a related field OR 2 years HR experience in lieu of a degree
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention-to-detail and organization skills
  • Ability to proactively make decisions and escalate matters as necessary

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Programs to include: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Power BI
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years HR experience or 4 years of HR experience in lieu of degree.
