SPACE SYSTEMS FINANCE
Rocket Lab's Space Systems Finance team is the business partner to the global Space Systems segment. FINANCE MANAGER, SPACE SYSTEMS
Based onsite at Rocket Lab's Headquarters in Long Beach, CA the Finance Manager is responsible for supporting the finance cadences and analysis for the space systems segment. You will work with the satellite manufacturing and satellite components teams supporting the financial reporting, business cases, cost models and other adhoc analysis. In addition, you will drive many exciting projects to grow and advance the company.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
  • Become a strong strategic partner to the Space System's segment, providing timely and accurate financial information and recommendations to decision makers to make prudent business decisions
  • Support Rocket Lab space systems component businesses with the finance cadence; monthly financial reporting and analysis, quarterly forecasts, annual operating plan, etc.
  • Support, development, and maintenance of weekly and monthly financial reporting, planning, and KPI's
  • Take point on dynamic business studies and adhoc analysis including detailed project ROI analysis.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing company/environment and a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years total experience)
  • In-depth experience with ERP, financial systems, and modeling
  • Expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite especially with Excel
  • Demonstrated experience implementing value add to the financial business process
  • Willingness to travel if necessary

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
  • Ability to take initiative and lead efforts with minimal instruction
  • Experience with firm fixed price, percent complete revenue recognition
  • Prior experience in aerospace company, with knowledge of space industry
  • Experience in LN, OneStream, Adaptive, WorkDay HRIS
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional business partner experience
  • Ability to translate financial results to functional leads to drive results
  • MBA or similar finance/accounting related degree
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of analysis

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.
Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package at Rocket Lab.
