Job description

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

CertainTeed Corporation, Roofing Division, is looking for a talented finance intern at our Shakopee MN Plant location, who can bring value added analysis to the Roofing finance team. This person will also be involved with some project(s) related to enhancing our existing analysis and reporting to management.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Key Projects this individual could be involved in:

  1. Developing, reviewing and reporting of plant cost savings calculations
  2. Analyzing plant spending details and trends to locate excesses and redundancies - building and maintaining reporting templates for management spend reviews
  3. Assist w monthly GL account reconciliations, and plant journal entries Work with Senior Sales and Analytics to automate sales calculator for quotations
  4. Complete self-guided (Udemy) Power BI training and assist with reporting and analytics development of PBI tools used to review plant expenditures.
  5. Assist in overseeing controls with regards to managing plant raw materials inventories and usage.
  6. Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, CMA or MBA preferable or equivalent SAP/Qlikview and experience a plus (or other large ERP system)
  7. GL Wands experience a plus
  8. Magnitude experience a plus
  9. Power BI experience a plus
  10. Ability to handle and understand multiple IT platforms
