Appian's Information Security team operates at the heart of our Enterprise-Grade Orchestration ecosystem. We continuously evaluate the evolving cyber threat landscape, assess security risks, and enforce modern security frameworks. Our team ensures that Appian's cloud offerings and internal operations remain robust, compliant, and resilient so our global customers can innovate with total confidence.

As an Information Security Intern at Appian, you won't just sit on the sidelines-you will actively contribute to live security operations, modern cloud architecture defense, and compliance automation. Being in the office provides more opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate with the exceptional people across Appian.

  • Partner with cross-functional technical teams to translate complex security concepts into actionable strategies for diverse audiences.

  • Assist in evaluating risk profiles and driving Appian's global information security program forward.

Basic Qualifications
  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related STEM field with a strong academic record. Must be returning to school following the completion of the Summer 2027 internship to continue degree requirements.

  • Program Availability: Ability to commit to a full-time (40 hours/week) schedule for the duration of the 10-week summer program.

  • Proven fluency in AI and LLMs, encompassing both the strategic development of AI-powered platform capabilities and the hands-on application of AI tools to accelerate daily workflows.

Preferred Qualifications
