Overview

The Communications Manager, Communications Operations is responsible for ensuring the effective administration, measurement, and continuous improvement of the organization's communications channels, platforms, programs, and processes. This role drives operational excellence by overseeing communications systems, large meeting management, reporting and analytics, vendor relationships, and multimedia production to support consistent, efficient, and high-quality communications. Serving as a strategic partner to Communications and business leaders, the position supports the planning and execution of communication initiatives, leadership communications, and enterprise-wide projects that align with business priorities. Through a combination of operational expertise, data-driven insights, and compelling content delivery, this role enhances associate engagement and strengthens organizational effectiveness.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of internal communications channels and platforms, ensuring communications are delivered efficiently, accurately and consistently across the organization.
  • Own the planning and execution of large internal meetings and events, including executive town halls, leadership meetings and enterprise-wide forums, coordinating logistics, invitations, production and technology requirements.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for communications channels and tools, maintaining standards, processes and documentation while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development of communications metrics and reporting, producing monthly, semi-annual and annual reports that provide insights into channel performance, associate engagement and communications effectiveness.
  • Analyze communications data and trends, providing recommendations to strengthen communications strategies, improve reach and enhance the associate experience.
  • Manage communications distribution processes, including audience segmentation, distribution list maintenance and email deployment to ensure effective targeting and delivery.
  • Create, edit and produce video content in support of leadership communications, associate engagement initiatives, organizational announcements and key business priorities.
  • Coordinate video production projects from concept through delivery, including content planning, interviews, asset collection, editing and collaboration with external production partners when needed.
  • Manage relationships with communications vendors and service providers, ensuring strong performance, continuous improvement and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Partner with Communications team members and business leaders to support communications initiatives, campaigns and enterprise projects, helping develop and execute communications plans and materials.
  • Assist with the creation, coordination and distribution of communications content, presentations, messaging and supporting materials as business needs arise.
  • Serve as a liaison with Technology and other support functions to address communications-related platform needs, troubleshooting issues and ensure a seamless communications experience.
  • Maintain and enhance communications processes, tools and best practices to support a high-performing communications function and deliver exceptional service to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of communications experience, ideally in a matrixed organization and/or retail environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
  • Strategic communications practitioner and hands-on contributor.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with leaders, business partners and cross-functional stakeholders, earning credibility through collaboration, responsiveness and consistently high-quality execution.
  • Experience supporting and executing internal communications initiatives, events and engagement activities, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint and other integrated Microsoft applications, as well as other communications technologies such as associate apps
  • Proficiency with creative applications; video production/editing skills a plus
  • Strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and diligence in a deadline-driven, high-volume of work environment.
  • Must have a proven track record of success in developing and measuring communications strategies and tactics in support of business goals.
  • Accreditation in Public Relations, preferred

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $92,640 - $138,960

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
