Yachad helps these individuals participate more fully in Jewish life and the broader society by providing educational, employment, and relationship opportunities.

The Orthodox Union (OU) is the largest Orthodox Jewish organization in the U.S., founded in 1898. The OU supports a vast network of synagogues, youth programs, advocacy efforts, services for individuals with disabilities, and international initiatives. It also operates the leading kosher certification service, recognized globally by thesymbol on numerous kosher food products.

Position Summary:

Yachad is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Development Associate to join our development team. This individual will play an integral role in supporting fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, special events, and development operations. The ideal candidate enjoys managing multiple projects, collaborating across departments, and contributing to a mission-driven organization that makes a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of Yachad's two signature fundraising galas (New York and New Jersey).
  • Support the Director in all aspects of planning and implementing Giving Day, Yachad's largest annual fundraising campaign.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute donor, prospect, and campaign reports and lists to support fundraising efforts across the Development team.
  • Develop expertise in Velocity and Snowflake, becoming a primary internal resource for fundraising data, reporting, and system support.
  • Assist in planning and executing telemarketing and donor outreach campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Marketing team to develop and maintain an ongoing donor communications calendar.
  • Assist with social media initiatives and other donor and prospect communications as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Development team members to support departmental goals and fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide administrative and project support for development activities as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with fundraising databases or CRM systems is a plus; willingness to learn fundraising technologies including Velocity and Snowflake is essential.
  • Passion for Yachad's mission and commitment to serving individuals with disabilities.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary range for this positionis$55,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience.
