As an Associate, Renewable Development, you will be responsible for leading development of large renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and storage) located in the PJM region. The position will be at Invenergy's Chicago office.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development of individual solar, storage, and/or wind projects in the United States.

  • Identify development prospects, including fatal flaw identification and initial site reconnaissance.

  • Secure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landowners.

  • Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities.

  • Interface with government officials, neighbors, and the public to establish positive relationships and effectively communicate project objectives, benefits, and details.

  • Coordinate internal and external support from legal, engineering, environmental, interconnection, and construction teams.

  • Manage complicated budgets and schedules, including risk identification and problem-solving.

  • Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4+ years of work experience in energy industry or relevant experience.

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to travel as needed, anticipated 25% of the time

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or work experience in business or engineering.

  • Several years of experience in similar role.

  • Understanding of the energy industry and development of renewable energy and real estate projects.

  • Strong public speaking, communication, and personal skills.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn new topics and act decisively and strategically in a fast-paced business environment with competing deadlines.

  • Must be self-directed and driven, with the ability and desire to effectively lead.

Base Pay
$85,000.00 - 103,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can share more about bonus eligibility for this position during the hiring process.
