Job description

We’re hiring a Development Associate to help advance Fraser, Ltd.’s mission through fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships. In this role, you’ll support fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor relationships, and help expand resources that empower children, youth, and adults across our programs.

What You’ll Do:

Fundraising & Development

  • Support the planning and implementation of fundraising initiatives to meet organizational goals and objectives
  • Build and strengthen relationships to expand Fraser’s funding base and support long-term growth
  • Adhere to fundraising calendars and donor communication schedules including appeals, newsletters, and campaigns
  • Coordinate and collaborate on special events and fundraising efforts
  • Assist in establishing long-range development goals in partnership with leadership

Donor Relations & Community Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors
  • Identify and develop new funding opportunities including grants, donations, sponsorships, volunteer support, and corporate partnerships
  • Collaborate with the CEO and marketing on donor cultivation and solicitation strategies
  • Maintain ongoing donor engagement and awareness of Fraser’s mission, programs, and needs
  • Represent Fraser, Ltd. in a professional and positive manner at community events and public functions

Prospect Research & Grant Support

  • Research new sources of financial support and identify prospective donors
  • Collaborate with leadership and team members to cultivate new donor relationships
  • Recognize and initiate grant opportunities that align with Fraser’s mission and organizational priorities
  • Build partnerships and associations that foster financial support for Fraser, Ltd.

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Record donations and ensure donor acknowledgements are completed according to policy
  • Analyze fundraising progress and assist with quarterly and annual fundraising goals
  • Maintain accurate donor records and reporting within donor database systems
  • Collaborate with Marketing on fundraising communication strategies and donor engagement efforts

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10 years of sales, fundraising, relationship-building, or related experience preferred
  • Proven success building relationships and achieving annual goals
  • Experience in fundraising and development strategies preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling fundraising messaging
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor database software
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
