About the Position:

Join the team for a Fall 2026 internship!  The Electronic Systems Engineering department is responsible for new product development, certification and fleet support for Avionics, Information Systems, Electrical Systems and Aircraft Controls Systems. To accomplish this, the department performs the following:

  • Requirements development resulting in released engineering documentation
  • Verification test development and execution in the Integrated Test Facilities
  • Troubleshooting aircraft system issues employing data analysis tools and skills
  • Showing compliance to regulatory certification requirements

Requirements:

  • This position is specifically for the fall 2026 semester. This position will not have openings for the spring or summer semesters. 
  • You must be available for full-time, on-site work in Savannah from August through December 2026. 
  • Actively enrolled in school during the time of the internship; expected graduation December 2026 or later. 
  • Cumulative GPA must be listed on your resume

Preferred Major(s): 

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • ABET accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program

Hobbies / Interests:

  • Passion for aircraft and aviation
  • Desire to understand how aircraft are designed, produced and maintained
  • Interest in systems development with high level hardware and software integration
  • Advanced Design Projects in engineering (aerospace/automotive/robotics/etc)

Desired Skills:

  • Problem Solving/Data Analysis skills
  • Coding/scripting (MATLAB, Python, C++)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups/systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance

    Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
    1. Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.
    2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded); must be listed on resume.
    3. Minimum duration: 12–14 weeks (summer); 14–16 weeks (spring and fall).
    4. Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
    5. Must have reliable transportation.
    This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
