Overview

Jain Global is seeking a highly motivated Developer to join our Equity Arbitrage team in our New York City office. This individual will sit on the trading desk, working closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and senior engineers to support the development of trading infrastructure and analytical tools. The developer will be directly involved in the quant research and execution process. A high standard of technical ability, professionalism, flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication skills-combined with a passion for problem-solving and technology-are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a high-performing team focused on delivering results.

Location: New York

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with traders, quants, and senior engineers to build and maintain tools and systems used in equity arbitrage strategies.

  • Develop data pipelines, trading analytics, and automation tools in Python.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle-from design and implementation to testing and deployment.

  • Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems to support evolving strategy requirements.

  • Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of software development experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Python; ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience in Big Tech or financial services is a plus, but not required.

  • Familiarity with Linux, version control (e.g., Git), and working with data (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) is a plus.

Compensation

Jain Global offers a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $185,000 to $200,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
