Job Description
INNERGY is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer toย driveย our cloud infrastructure,ย CI/CD pipelines,ย and operational excellenceย across a growing portfolio of products and services.ย
You willย beย a senior technical leaderย designing scalable,ย secure, and resilientย systemsย while driving automation, reliability, and developerย velocity across the organization.ย Working directly with senior leadership and systems architects, and partnering withย Engineering,ย Product, Security,ย andย ITย teams across the globe,ย you'llย modernize infrastructure, sharpen observability, and build systems that scale with INNERGY's growth.ย

Key Responsibilitiesย
Cloud Infrastructure & Architectureย
- Own design, provisioning, and evolution ofย INNERGY'sย Azureย cloud infrastructureย
- Drive infrastructure-as-code standards across all environmentsย
- Optimizeย for cost, performance, and fault toleranceย
CI/CD & Developer Platformย
- Build andย maintainย CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable software deliveryย
- Standardize deployment patterns across INNERGY's product suiteย
- Support containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetesย
- Reduce toil through automation and self-service toolingย
Reliability & Observabilityย
- Define and own SLO/SLA targets for production systemsย
- Establishย observability standards: metrics, logging, tracing, and alertingย
- Own disaster recovery strategy and ensure systems meet recovery objectivesย
- Lead incident response process, includingย runbooks, postmortems, on-call structureย
- Coordinate with global counterpartsย forย follow-the-sun coverage andย round-the-clockย reliabilityย
Security & Complianceย
- ย Harden infrastructure and automate security controlsย
- ย Support audit and compliance requirementsย
- ย Partner withย ITย and Security on vulnerability management and access controlsย
Technical Leadershipย
- ย Set DevOps practice standards across engineeringย
- ย Mentor engineers on platform and infrastructure topicsย
- ย Contribute to architecture reviews and strategic planningย
- ย Drive build vs. buy decisions for tooling and platform investmentsย
- ย Align practices andย maintainย continuity withย DevOps and IT counterparts across INNERGY's global regionsย
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informationย Systemsย or equivalent practical experienceย
- ย 10+ yearsย softwareย engineering experience;ย 6+ in DevOps, SRE, or platform rolesย
- Cloud infrastructureย expertiseย in production SaaS environmentsย
- ย Kubernetesย inย production ownership, not just familiarityย
- ย Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azureย
- ย DevOps, or GitLab CIย ย
- ย Terraform or equivalentย IaCย at scaleย
- ย Strong scripting in Python, Go, or Bashย
- ย Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or Newย
- ย Relicย
- ย Solid understanding of networking, security, system architecture, and high availability designย
- ย Software engineering background sufficient to understand, review, and contribute toย development effortsย
- ย Appliesย AI-first approaches to tooling, automation, andย problem-solvingย
- ย Track record owning reliability: SLO definition, incident management, postmortemย cultureย
- ย Demonstratedย ability to lead technical direction without formal authorityย
- ย Proficiencyย with GitHub for source control, collaboration, and CI/CD workflowsย ย
Preferred Qualificationsย
- Multi-cloud orย large-scaleย cloud migrationย and infrastructure modernizationย experienceย
- Deepย experience running productionย workloadsย inย Microsoft Azureย
- Familiarityย with .NET application environmentsย
- Background in manufacturing, ERP, or industrial software environmentsย
- Compliance posture ownership experience, including SOC 2 or similar security frameworksย

- Experience working across distributed, global teams and time zonesย
