Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 an hour


Job Summaryย 

Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to the design, development and/or promotion of Wagstaff casting equipment.ย 

Primary Job Responsibilitiesย 

  • Assist with the design documents necessary for the production of research casting equipmentย 
  • Assist with finding solutions to problems using brainstorming and academic work to develop new equipmentย 
  • Create documented technical and analytical evaluations for design solutions as part of the project file, keeping safety, functionality, and cost effectiveness paramountย 
  • Work in the lab to conduct experiments for other Engineers and document the data.ย 
  • In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be requiredย 
  • Must exercise discretion and judgment to provide design and engineering solutions for Wagstaff-supplied equipmentย 
  • Abide by company policiesย 
  • Other duties as assignedย 

Qualificationsย 

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering fieldย 

General Characteristics:

  • Acquires basic knowledge and develops skills in a specific practice areaย 
  • Applies prescribed and/or standard techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasksย 
  • Exercises limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional workย
