We are looking for a student intern at our Chattanooga, TN plant who wants to become part of the solution, help us continue providing quality products, and grow our talent and leader pool.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire technical competences related to cement manufacturing and related equipment. This includes knowledge of cement chemistry and standards.
  • Perform process studies/audits at the plant; evaluate key performance indicators; follow up with plant personnel; discuss actual versus budgeted equipment operations and performance standards; and provide suggestions to improve/optimize operations.
  • Maintain consistent and accurate process related reports and documentation such as mill inspection, process measurements, and time studies.
  • Develop strategies and solutions jointly with Management and Engineering teams focused on optimization, automation and process improvement.
  • Evaluate, track and optimize process conditions by utilizing process tools to compare/contrast and consolidate incidents.
  • Evaluate, track and optimize the kiln's refractory life by maintaining the company-utilized software dedicated to this purpose.
  • Understand the importance of safety as it relates to the various tasks assigned during time spent at the Chattanooga plant.
