Senior Manufacturing Associate
Location: Ventura County, CA (Local candidates preferred; relocation not available)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours (~40 hrs/week); overtime available based on operational need
Assignment: 12-month contract with potential extension
Compensation: $28-$31/hr
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Senior Associate to support quality systems and corrective action programs within a regulated manufacturing environment. This individual will own CAPA records from initiation through effectiveness verification, partner cross-functionally to drive investigations to closure, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Responsibilities
  • Own and manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) and Effectiveness Verification (EV) records in support of major and trend deviations.
  • Lead root cause analysis discussions and drive actions to reduce, correct, mitigate, and prevent recurrence of manufacturing events.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and process development teams to ensure end-to-end investigation completion.
  • Advise management on CAPA/EV progress, product and process risk, and any potential delays.
  • Ensure Quality Management System (QMS) processes are executed in accordance with established procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of relevant work experience; OR Associate's degree plus 6 months of experience; OR Bachelor's degree.
  • Direct experience with deviation investigations, CAPA processes, and regulated quality systems.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and work independently in a matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process development, or quality assurance within a highly regulated industry (biotech,. pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, aerospace/aviation, or similar)
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.
