About the Role:

The Engineering Services Manager will lead and oversee the engineering services team within a manufacturing environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical support, solutions, and support that drive operational excellence. This role is pivotal in managing manufacturing engineering projects from conception through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet production goals and maintain equipment reliability. The manager will develop and implement strategies to optimize engineering processes, improve product quality, and reduce downtime, directly impacting the company's efficiency and profitability. They will serve as a key liaison between engineering, production, and maintenance departments, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Ultimately, this position is accountable for aligning manufacturing engineering services with business objectives to support sustainable growth and innovation within Bergkamp operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team by providing clear direction, coaching, and mentorship; foster a collaborative culture that prioritizes employee engagement, professional growth, and accountability for delivering exceptional service and technical solutions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope. Support New Product Engineering Department.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and reliability programs to enhance equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate external engineering support as needed.
  • Ensure site compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, environmental, and company policies in all engineering activities.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports related to engineering services operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing processes and recommending enhancements.
  • Support the integration of new technologies and equipment to improve manufacturing capabilities.
  • Integrate new product development products into ERP (CSI).
  • Maintain manufactured parts routers to ensure hours and operations are correct.
  • Lead Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) philosophy and implementation of processes.
  • Support Supply Chain with development of alternate products due to obsolescence or reduced cost.
  • Accountable for Product regulations and reporting as determined.
  • Accountable for Production warranty issues, resolution and process revision.
  • Support Customer Care on field issues and repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management position.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and reliability engineering.
  • Proficiency in project management and engineering software tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with QRM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP (CSI) systems and data analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and complex engineering projects.

This position requires infrequent travel, which may involve exposure to extreme weather elements.
