CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Test Automation Developer - ETL/API/Rules within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.
The Test Automation Developer - ETL/API/Rules is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality and integrity of data pipelines (ETL), application programming interfaces (APIs), and business rules engines. This role involves a blend of technical expertise in automation frameworks, data validation, and understanding complex system interactions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design and Develop Automation Frameworks: Create and enhance robust automation frameworks for testing ETL processes, APIs, and business rules, leveraging tools and programming languages like Python, Java, SQL, Selenium, Postman, SoapUI, or custom scripting.
• ETL Testing:
o Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
o Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across various data sources and target systems.
o Perform data reconciliation and validate data mappings and transformations.
• API Testing:
o Design and implement automated tests for RESTful and SOAP APIs, covering functional, integration, performance, and security aspects.
o Validate API responses, error handling, and adherence to specifications.
• Business Rules Testing:
o Develop automated tests to verify the correct implementation and execution of complex business rules and logic within applications or rules engines.
o Ensure compliance with defined business requirements and expected outcomes.
• Test Case Development and Execution: Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and test plans for all areas of responsibility.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and prioritize defects, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution and retesting.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate detailed test reports, analyze test results, and provide recommendations for process improvements and quality enhancements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other QA team members to understand requirements, define test strategies, and ensure quality deliverables.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Journeyman:
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly
• Strong experience in test automation development, including designing and implementing automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar for test automation.
• Expertise in SQL for data validation, querying, and database testing.
• Experience with ETL testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or custom scripts).
