Job description

Southland International Trucks Ltd. is looking to hire a full-time wash bay attendant/detailer.

The Wash Bay Attendant/Detailer is responsible for keeping our New, Used, and Rental units looking their best while maintaining efficiency and good communication with our rental, sales, and service teams.

Job Description:

· Cleaning heavy trucks and trailers interiors and/or exteriors in compliance with all company standards and client requests

· Operating pressure washers, buffers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations.

· Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of trucks and trailers.

· Applying and removing decals to/from trucks and trailers.

· Responding to co-workers and client inquiries and fulfilling their requests.

· Other duties assigned or requested by the manager and/or co-workers relating to commercial trucks and trailers

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

· Previous experience in a shop service-related environment is considered an asset

· Basic computer skills - spreadsheets and email

· Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods time and must be able to walk, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or crawl frequently

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

· Good time management & organization skills

· Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work independently and within a team

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· Good English communication skills

· Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean record

· Able or willing to learn how to drive a day cab/highway tractor with manual transmission
