Full job description

Wayne Akers Ford is looking for a Collision Center Detailer to join its team! This position ensures every vehicle meets dealership quality standards by performing thorough interior and exterior cleaning, inspecting vehicles for cleanliness and presentation, and assisting with the organization of the Collision Center. The Detailer contributes to customer satisfaction by delivering vehicles in exceptional conditions while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00/Hour

Responsibilities

  • Wash, clean, polish, wax, and detail repaired vehicles prior to customer delivery.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, clean, and deodorize vehicle interiors.
  • Inspect completed repairs for cleanliness, fit and finish, and overall presentation before vehicles are released to customers.
  • Notify management of any concerns or deficiencies identified during the final quality control inspection.
  • Move vehicles safely throughout the Collision Center, dealership lot, and designated storage areas.
  • Assist management with organizing vehicle flow and maintaining an orderly Body Shop.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the detail area, shop, and surrounding workspaces.
  • Operate detailing equipment including pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain detailing supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishment.
  • Follow dealership repair, detailing, and quality control procedures.
  • Comply with all dealership safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Additional duties may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience
  • Must have a clean driving record 
  • Ability to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must pass a criminal background and drug test
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
