The Royal Caribbean Group's Private Destinations Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Senior Analyst, Destination Development reporting to the Manager, Development & Destination Strategy.
Position Overview
This position will support Deployment & Destination Strategy team, collaborating across the brand to ensure the right data is being applied to deployment analyses. The core function is to recommend where our ships should be deployed, through data, and optimize which guests will fill those ships. This position will influence the strategic direction and financial performance of Royal Caribbean International through quantitative analysis and market research partnering with Deployment, Commercial Development, Port Operations, Product Development, Newbuild and International Market teams.
This position is on - site in our Royal Caribbean Headquarters Miami 1050
Key Responsibilities
  • Support long terms deployment strategic initiatives.
  • Support the Sr. Manager in all destination strategy initiatives
  • Responsible for monitoring progress and micro and macro-economic trends to adjusting strategy based on results and changes in markets or the industry
  • Collaborates with Business Development and Product Development to evaluate and model business cases for private destinations and port investments
  • Updates the teams PowerBI Dashboard
  • Leverage post cruise guest satisfaction data to quantify impact of various revenue initiatives on net promoter scores
  • Performs revenue, costs, deployment and operational analysis to better inform deployment decisions that will have a long-range impact on the Royal Caribbean International Brand. Utilizes all data available to make most informed and data-driven decisions
  • Collaborates with Deployment team in preparation of senior executive level presentations
  • Works collaboratively with all departments across the brand on inputs to deployment analysis and decision-making, considering the different perspectives, incorporating these differences into the analysis and making an optimal and impartial recommendation

Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required, and MBA preferred; 2 to 4 years of business analytics experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations
  • Itinerary planning and/or revenue management experience highly desired.
  • Pro-active and collaborative approach.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficiency in Excel, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, Oracle SQL, PowerBI, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential
  • Critical thinker, who demonstrates drive and a desire to improve processes where appropriate
  • Requires outstanding business writing and oral communications skills and the ability to create and deliver presentations to senior executives and others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of co-workers and influence.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with ability to handle multiple projects.

  • Ability to operate in a team environment

Financial/Quantitive Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing strategies to achieve revenue targets in excess of $4B in annual net product revenue
