SUMMARY

The Destination Analyst is responsible for helping ensure the accuracy, reliability, and usability of the organization's data for reporting, analysis, and decision-making. This role focuses on transforming data into actionable insights through dashboards, recurring reports, ad hoc analysis, and data visualization. The analyst plays a key role in supporting marketing, sales, partnerships, business intelligence, and leadership teams by helping stakeholders understand performance, identify trends, and make data-informed decisions.

The Destination Analyst will work closely with the Data Engineer and other members of the Destination Technology team to validate data quality, document reporting logic, identify data issues, and support the effective use of the organization's cloud data warehouse and business intelligence tools.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical, analytical, and communication skills and should be comfortable writing SQL, validating data, building dashboards, interpreting performance trends, and translating business questions into clear analysis. This position is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to help teams across the organization use data more effectively to support destination marketing, sales, partnership, and organizational strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor key data outputs and reporting datasets to help ensure timely, accurate data availability in the cloud data warehouse.
  • Perform routine data validation checks across key datasets and reports to confirm reliability and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize recurring reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Use SQL to query, analyze, and validate data stored in the cloud data warehouse.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting, and analysis to support requests across marketing, sales, partnerships, and business intelligence teams.
  • Implement and document data quality checks, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of key datasets.
  • Deliver presentations to provide insights on performance, engagement, and other KPIs to inform marketing and business strategies.
  • Document reporting processes, data definitions, business logic, and data quality procedures for transparency and continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Assist with identifying and troubleshooting data discrepancies in coordination with the Data Engineer and other technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing, business intelligence, sales, and partnership teams to ensure data-driven decision-making is effectively supported.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing data for advanced analytics, segmentation, forecasting, and other analytical initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a data analyst role or similar position.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to query and transform data.
  • Experience building data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to define project scope, priorities, timelines, and deliverables for dashboard and reporting initiatives
  • Ability to present dashboard functionality, KPIs, trends, and recommendations to internal customers while responding to questions and incorporating stakeholder feedback
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Able to work on-site in the West Palm Beach office at least three days per week.
