Overview
The International Air Gateway Agent role manages and operates the AIT Gateway functionality. It serves as a liaison between the rest of US & Overseas AIT stations as well as Global Agent providers that have Air freight transiting.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all Console pre-bookings, schedule and post it on CargoWise
  • Obtain and maintain the scheduled consoles rates
  • Book all B2B requests from stations, vertical teams and account managers
  • Obtain all pricing requests from carriers by all stations, vertical teams, and account managers
  • Report to all stations, vertical teams, account managers, etc. all cargo received at the Dock that belongs to them for a console or B2B shipment (i.e. scan and email warehouse receipts)
  • Process all MAWBs, consoles and B2B. Ensure all HAWBs link to a console or B2B master have the necessary approval from destination agent
  • Manage the pre-screening process (once the CCSF is running) - Gateway team will work in conjunction with CCSF facilities to make sure that screening is being handled timely and accurately
  • Transfer all consoles and B2B MAWBs to the airline
  • Gateway team to upload all key milestone compliances as it pertains to the perfect shipment process. This will include tracking and updating CW for all MAWBs (console & B2B once confirmed onboard and arrived at destination)
  • Manage the station CSF process (once it's running). Ensure every inbound shipment (IE, T&E, etc.) is transferred within the required time by Customs Gateway team to make sure that all inbound cargo arriving into a port is cleared properly and closed out before export.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
  • The wage range for this position is $30.50-$43.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Other Skills We Hope to See:
  • High School diploma and/or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' transportation industry experience in export / import operations
  • Previous work experience in TSA, ITAR and Dangerous Goods regulations, preferred
  • Cargo-wise experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of working within government vertical, strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced working environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizing skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
