Job description

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Casual Destination Coordinator to support the Parking department!

This role will be able to work days, nights, weekends, or overnight shifts! This role works rotating weekends and holidays. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

The Destination Coordinator interacts directly with patients and visitors,providing directions, information, and assistance to all hospital guests. Duties for this position also include, but are not limited to, answering, or referring incoming calls appropriately, creating security access badges for entry to the maternity ward/unit, looking up appointments for patients, escorting patients and/or visitors to the appropriate place, and serving as a parking cashier for the valet team.
Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Hospital liaison.
  • Monitor visitor controls and complies with the service-related visitation policy during non-visitor hours.
  • Issue courtesy parking discounts and free passes when appropriate.
  • Use the personal computer and CRT for dissemination of patient information.
  • Assist with parking and traffic control in designated valet parking areas as directed by parking supervisor or manager on an as needed basis.
  • Provide physical assistance to customers to facilitate movement within our facility.
    • May include transport via wheelchair.
  • Operate the parking department's radios per established procedure. Operate all vehicles entrusted to the valet service in a safe and responsible manner on an as needed basis.
  • Completion of High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One-year greeter experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
