OVERVIEW:
We are looking to hire a skilled IT Desktop Support Engineer to join an established team, that supports one of our major oil and gas customers. The successful candidate will be expected to join the team onsite at the Downtown Houston office. This is not a hybrid or remote role. This role has an end date of 12/31/26.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Diagnose and resolve IT incidents. Some examples include:
o Printer related issues
o Connectivity
o Software related issues
o Operating system
• Installation of peripheral components
• AV/VC configuration and problem resolution
• Installation of software packages and minor remediation
• Escalation to appropriate party where appropriate
o Ownership of issue
• Maintains employee confidence and protects corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential
• Creates and maintains a clear and thorough documentation
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
• Supports company vision and mission
• Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
Requirements
• 1-5+ years of IT Desktop Support experience
• BSc in Computer Science or relevant field
• Exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving computer related problems while maintaining patience, professionalism, and courtesy
• In depth understanding of Windows desktop operating systems and utilities.
• Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
• Required: Microsoft Office & O365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook with emphasis on Excel). High degree of competency in troubleshooting Smartphones/Mobile devices, tablet devices, as well as various smartphone devices.
• Strong communications skills

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Salary: $55,000- $65,000 depending on experience
